What does the tax ID status mean?

On your contact’s page on Quaderno, you’ll see a tax ID status.

These are the possible tax ID statuses:

• Verified: The tax ID has been verified via one of the official validation services listed below. When applicable, Quaderno might consider sales to this customer as B2B and apply the reverse charge mechanism.
• Unavailable: For technical reasons, the official validation services were not available when Quaderno tried to verify the tax ID. As a safety measure, Quaderno will apply taxes to this contact’s invoices when tax ID validation is not possible. 
• Unverified: The official validation service responded that the tax ID is invalid.

Quaderno can automatically verify the following Tax IDs:

• EU VAT Numbers
• UK VAT numbers
• Australian Business Numbers
• New Zealand Business Numbers
• Quebec QST Registration Numbers
• Swiss UID Numbers
