What sales does Hotmart send to Quaderno?

Hotmart sends data to Quaderno only for sales of Non-ESS products to European Union (EU) buyers.

Non-ESS products are products that involve direct contact or interaction with people — such as webinars, live classes, tutoring sessions, and in-person events.

For all other sales, Hotmart acts as the merchant of record and bills customers directly, taking on the invoicing and tax responsibilities. The exception is domestic sales in Australia, Chile, New Zealand, Canada, and India, where Hotmart acts only as a channel and does not take on tax responsibility.

For any sale where Hotmart does not act as the merchant of record — including domestic sales in Australia, Chile, New Zealand, Canada, and India — you are responsible for issuing the invoice. Create those invoices manually in Quaderno to stay compliant with your local tax obligations.

For a full breakdown of tax responsibilities per sale type, see Hotmart's guide to global sales tax responsibilities.
