When does Quaderno generate invoices for my WooCommerce sales?
Quaderno generates an invoice for a WooCommerce sale when the order is marked as paid or completed in WooCommerce.
What checkout fields does Quaderno need to calculate taxes?
For tax calculation purposes, Quaderno needs at least the Country and Postal code fields. We'd recommend asking for the full billing address if you'd like this information on your invoices.
How could I easily provide my customers with a link to their invoices?
Our WooCommerce extension automatically includes a link to each invoice in the customer's order dashboard in WooCommerce.
Does Quaderno generate invoices for $0 sales?
No. WooCommerce orders with value $0 do not generate an invoice in Quaderno.
I need tax to be calculated based on the store location where the product is purchased, rather than the customer's location. Is that possible?
Yes, and it's compatible with Quaderno's tax calculation. In WooCommerce > Settings > Tax, you would just need to select Calculate tax based on - Shop base address.
Note: If you aren't sure if this option applies to you, we'd recommend asking your accountant. Usually this option would be used for ticket sales to in-person events or pick-up orders (not shipped orders or digital products).
Can I make all my clients to pay the same final price in my WooCommerce store, regardless of their location or tax rate?
Sure! Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Integrations > Quaderno and select the option Force universal pricing.
I have several WooCommerce stores, is there a way to integrate them all?
Sure! You can use our WooCommerce extension on all your stores and connect all of them to the same Quaderno account as long as they are all part of the same business.
How does Quaderno handle multi-currency in WooCommerce?
While we don't guarantee compatibility with third party plugins, there shouldn't be any issues using another multi-currency plugin alongside the Quaderno extension. For example, our WooCommerce extension works with WooCommerce Currency Switcher.
I use a marketplace extension in our WooCommerce store with multiple vendors. How would Quaderno calculate taxes in this case?
While we do not have experience with the marketplaces extensions, it could work if each vendor has their own checkout page on WooCommerce and each vendor uses the Quaderno extension with their own Quaderno account. We'd recommend trying this out with some testing in our sandbox.
Can I use WooCommerce plugin to calculate multiple taxes in an order from Canada?
At the moment, only one tax rate per product is supported in WooCommerce. While we hope to resolve this in the future, if you'd like to apply multiple tax rates on a product (for example, GST and QST), we'd recommend using another integration for the time being.
For Switzerland and Quebec, why the TAX ID field doesn't appear?
We haven't included the tax ID validations for those jurisdictions in our WooCommerce plugin yet.
Can I see on Quaderno which was the payment method used?
Unfortunately this information would not be available on Quaderno but you could see which was the payment method used checking directly on WooCommerce.
Can I use WooCommerce test mode with Quaderno?
You can use WooCommerce test mode in our sandbox testing environment. WooCommerce test mode will not work in your live Quaderno account.


WooCommerce is not calculating taxes in the checkout form.
If you're not seeing taxes in your checkout for a customer in a jurisdiction where your business is registered, just follow these troubleshooting steps:
  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > Quaderno and check if your API keys are correct. Select the option Clear tax cache and click Save changes to delete the tax cache.
  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > General and make sure that the option Enable tax rates and calculations is enabled.
  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax options and in the Calculate tax based on field: A. select Customer billing address if you're selling digital products B. select Customer shipping address if you're selling physical goods.
  1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Standard rates and make sure the only available rate is the official rate of the store's country/state.
Otherwise, if your business is not registered in the country, state or province where your customer is located, then no tax rate will be displayed in the checkout. Check out this article for more information on tax calculations.
Some WooCommerce orders don't have taxes.
Check if your customers are based in a tax jurisdiction you’re registered for tax collection. Quaderno will only apply taxes on sales in tax jurisdictions where your business is registered.
Quaderno is adding taxes on tax-exempted products.
Please make sure you have selected the option None for the product's tax status in your WooCommerce store.

I made sales in WooCommerce but they aren't appearing in Quaderno.
Quaderno generates the invoice when the order has been marked paid or completed in WooCommerce. You can check an order's status in your WooCommerce account in Orders.
I have duplicate invoices for all my WooCommerce sales.
Please review your integrations in your Quaderno account. If you have the same Stripe/PayPal account connected to Quaderno and to WooCommerce, this would cause duplicate invoices as Quaderno is receiving two notifications for every transaction. Please disconnect Stripe/PayPal from Quaderno to prevent duplicates.
My clients are receiving two invoices, one from WooCommerce and one from Quaderno.
We'd recommend using Quaderno's tax-compliant invoices instead of the WooCommerce receipts. Quaderno invoices allow your customers to see their full billing history, and they can update their billing details as needed.
If you want to use WooCommerce receipts instead, just follow these steps:
  1. On the preferences page of your Quaderno account, deactivate the option Autosend all automatic receipts and credit notes.
  1. Deactivate the option Autosend receipts in WooCommerce > Settings > Integrations > Quaderno.
WooCommerce does not show as connected on the integrations page in my Quaderno account.
If you've set up the Quaderno extension in your WooCommerce store, your account is already connected. As this is an API integration, we would only be able to confirm that it is connected correctly once it starts processing your WooCommerce orders.
In my WooCommerce store I'm using another extension for the checkout that is creating some issues with Quaderno.
Unfortunately we don't support extensions developed by third parties. We only support official extensions developed by WooCommerce.
