Managing multiple locations and invoicing in Shopify

Shopify natively supports inventory management and fulfillment from multiple locations or warehouses.

Unlike other platforms, when an order is placed, Shopify automatically records the location from which it will be shipped. Quaderno can read and use this information to generate invoices and tax reports with the correct tax, accurately identifying the origin of each transaction.

How Quaderno uses the fulfillment location

When Quaderno processes an order, it reads the fulfillment location recorded by Shopify and uses it as the seller's origin address to calculate the applicable tax, generate the invoice, and assign the sale to the correct jurisdiction in your tax reports. If an order has no fulfillment location recorded, Quaderno falls back to your account address as the default origin.

Make sure your warehouses in Shopify have correctly configured addresses. Quaderno uses those addresses to determine the origin of each transaction, and an incorrect address can affect both the tax calculation and your tax reports.
