Managing contacts
When a new customer places an order on your store or you track an expense from a vendor, their name and info are automatically added to your contacts list.
You can invoice contacts from the dashboard using their profile information, and depending on the circumstances, you can also manually add, edit, or delete a contact profile.

To create a contact, follow these steps:

Common questions
My customer moved to another country. If I update the country in the contact's file, will tax be calculated correctly on future invoices?
As a best practice we recommend creating a new contact, especially when the customer is a business. This way the invoices for two separate legal entities (company in one country and company in another country) are not mixed.
When the tax ID changes because of the country change, we would always recommend creating a new contact.
In all cases, tax would be calculated based on the new country on future invoices.
My customer has a new tax ID as they changed their company structure or country. Can I edit the tax ID in the contact's file?
If a customer has a new tax ID, this generally indicates a change in legal entity. To avoid mixing invoices for different legal entities in the same invoice history, we recommend creating a new contact with the new tax ID.
Can I search for a contact in Quaderno by its tax ID?
You can search for a contact by its tax ID, removing the initial country code ("ES", "FR", etc).
