Plans & pricing
Quaderno offers competitive pricing plans to help you find one that fits your needs and budget.
If you are unsure which pricing plan to choose, then register for a 7-day free trial to see how Quaderno's features can help you manage your sales tax and build your business. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime.
If you want to try Quaderno before committing to an active monthly plan, then you can sign up for a free 7-day trial. Your free trial begins when you first sign up, not when you start working on your account. You won't lose any of the work you complete on your account during your free trial when you choose a paid plan.
If you don't select a monthly plan at the end of your free trial, then your account will be frozen and you will not be able to continue working on it until you choose a paid plan.

Quaderno plans are based on the number of transactions generated in your Quaderno account and the number of calls to Quaderno API per month. Transactions includes invoices, receipts, credit notes, and expenses.

Will we be charged when our trial is up?
No. We don't ask for your credit card up front, so you'll only be charged when you decide you’re ready. If you want to continue after your trial, we'll ask for payment details. If not, your account will be cancelled automatically, no questions asked.
What if we need a longer trial?
We’re happy to give you some more time. Just let us know and we'll extend your trial.
How do I cancel my account during my free trial?
If you don't choose a pricing plan during your free trial, then your account will be frozen at the end of the free trial. You won't be charged for anything when your free trial expires.
What is a transaction?
Quaderno counts all documents created in your account as transactions. This includes invoices, receipts, credit notes, and expenses. Documents created manually or through an integration all count towards your transaction limit. See “Transaction” in our Glossary.
What if I go over the transaction limit of my current plan?
We keep an eye on that for you! As you approach the transaction limit for your plan, we’ll notify you that you’ve reached 90% and 100% of your limit. These alerts give you time to upgrade your Quaderno subscription, so that it’ll cover your booming business.
You can upgrade your subscription directly in the billing details page. As a courtesy we also offer the option to contract extra transactions for 25 cents each. That way you are not forced to upgrade if you hit the plan limit in a single month because of a peak in volume.
How is my payment processed?
We use Stripe to process your payment. It's the same payment provider used by products like Twitter, Pinterest, and Lyft. We do not handle your credit card information directly.
Do you have monthly and yearly billing options?
Yes! We offer either monthly or yearly billing options. The yearly billing option is always cheaper (2 months off). Our Enterprise plans are not compatible with the yearly offer.
Can I downgrade my annual plan?
If you downgrade your annual plan, you wouldn't get a refund but we would apply a credit for the next time your plan renews.
What happens if my payment fails? (E.g. my credit card expired.)
We'll send an email to the email address associated with your account after each failed payment. Payment may be retried up to 4 times. After this, if the payment did not succeed, your account will be paused until you re-enter your payment details.
Can I pause or close my account?
Sure! You can pause or close your account. Pausing your account is temporary, while closing your account is permanent. For more information, see the guide Pausing and closing your account.
Do you offer refunds?
We don't offer refunds, however we do have an account credit system. If your plan is downgraded during your billing period, your account will be credited accordingly. The next time your account is charged, any remaining balance will be used before we charge you again.
Do you have a Service-Level Agreement (SLA)?
We do offer a SLA for premium accounts with more than 10000 transactions per month. However, we're transparent and you can check our more recent uptime at http://status.quaderno.io/.
Can I request an “attestation de conformité”?
Quaderno is compliant with French law against VAT fraud from 2018.
There are 4 requirements to be compliant with French laws:
- Inalterability – Data from payment operations is recorded, stored, and cannot be modified.
- Security – Data is secured and returned to France's Administration Fiscale, guaranteed to be in its original state.
- Retention/Conservation – Data must be kept for six years with annual, monthly, and daily closures.
- Archiving – Data is frozen and stored, classified by date, and easily readable by the Administration as part of a control.
Once you subscribe to a paid plan, you can request an individual attestation "Attestation de Conformité" that your accountant can keep on file.
Once you fill out the form, the attestation will be sent to your email.
