Plans & pricing

Quaderno plans are based on:

  • the number of transactions (invoices, receipts, credit notes, and expenses).
  • the number of jurisdictions¹ where you’re registered for tax collection.
  • the number of calls to the Quaderno API per month.²

You can check our plans in the table below:

¹ Registered jurisdictions refer to the locations where your business is registered to collect taxes and has a local tax number. This registration is independent of the countries or states where you sell your products or services.

What if I go over the transaction limit of my current plan?

We keep an eye on that for you! As you approach the transaction limit for your plan, we’ll notify you that you’ve reached 90% and 100% of your limit. These alerts give you time to upgrade your Quaderno subscription so that it’ll cover your booming business.

You can always upgrade your subscription to a higher plan on the billing details page

As a courtesy, we also offer the option to pay extra transactions for 25 cents each. That way you are not forced to upgrade if you hit the plan limit in a single month because of a peak in volume. When you exceed your plan’s limits two months in a row, the system will automatically upgrade your plan to the next appropriate plan.

How are registered jurisdictions counted for calculating the pricing plan?

Your business collects taxes at least in the country where it is based (with some rare exceptions). That would count as one registered jurisdiction. For businesses selling in Europe, it's common to also register in the EU VAT OSS scheme, which counts as another registered jurisdiction.

Let’s see a couple of examples:

  • A US online seller based in Ohio surpassed the tax threshold for Illinois and Ohio. They also sell across several EU countries. Their business is registered in the Alabama and Ohio tax agencies, as well as the EU VAT OSS scheme. This would count as 3 registered jurisdictions.
  • An EU online seller based in Belgium is selling all over Europe. Their business is registered in Belgium as well as the EU VAT OSS scheme. This would count as 2 registered jurisdictions.

Do you have a Service-Level Agreement (SLA)?

We offer a premium SLA to customers starting at the 10k transactions per month tier. You can check our uptime at https://quaderno.statuspage.io.
