Managing your subscription

You can change your current plan or update any payment details at any time. Learn how to easily manage your subscription here!

Quaderno plans are based on the number of transactions generated in your Quaderno account, the number of registered jurisdictions (where you have a local tax number and are officially collecting taxes), and the number of calls to the Quaderno API per month.

Regarding your Quaderno subscription:

  • The monthly billing period begins the day you subscribe, not the 1st of each month.
  • You’ll find your current subscription details in your account on the subscription plans page, including the transaction count for the current subscription period.
  • You can update your plan whenever you’d like.
  • You can pause your subscription or close your account at any time.

Only account owners can manage subscriptions.

Changing your current plan

  1. Go to the billing details page.
  2. Click Update plan in the Plan section.
  3. Select your new plan and confirm your decision.

You can upgrade or downgrade your current plan at any time.

If you change your plan in the middle of your billing period, we'll look at the percentage of time left in that period and prorate what we're charging you based on that. If you downgrade your plan, you'll see the new price at the month mark - i.e. the day of the month you initially signed up.

Updating your billing address

If you need to update your billing address, then follow these steps:

  1. Go to the billing details page.
  2. Click Update billing address in the Billing address section.
  3. Enter your current billing address and click Update billing address

Updating your payment method

You can pay your subscription with a credit or debit card that allows for recurring payments.

If your card number changes, then make sure that you update it in your Quaderno account:

  1. Go to the billing details page.
  2. Click Update card in the Payment method section.
  3. Enter the required information and click Add card.

Common questions

What if I go over the transaction limit of my current plan?

We keep an eye on that for you! As you approach the transaction limit for your plan, we’ll notify you that you’ve reached 90% and 100% of your limit. These alerts give you time to upgrade your Quaderno subscription, so that it’ll cover your booming business.

You can upgrade your subscription directly on the billing details page. As a courtesy, we also offer the option to contract extra transactions for 25 cents each. That way you are not forced to upgrade if you hit the plan limit in a single month because of a peak in volume.

When you exceed your plan’s limits two months in a row, the system will automatically upgrade your plan to the next appropriate tier.

Will all users on my account receive a notification if we are approaching the plan limit?

We will send email notifications about plan limits to all administrators on your account. You can review user roles here.

How can I pay for Quaderno?

We accept debit and credit card payments. However, we cannot accept Discover payments at this time.

Do you offer refunds?

We don't offer refunds, however we do have an account credit system. If your plan is downgraded during your billing period, your account will be credited accordingly. The next time your account is charged, any remaining balance will be used before we charge you again.

Do you offer any discounts?

When you choose an annual plan over a monthly one, you'll get a 2-month discount. Other than that, we don't offer other discounts or promotions.

Can you provide me with a contract?

While we don't offer contracts, you can review our policies here.
