Adding Quaderno Billing to your website

To add Quaderno Billing access to your own website, just follow these steps:

  1. In your Quaderno account, go to the API keys page.
  2. Copy your publishable key.
  3. Add the following URL on your website with your publishable key:

That's it - no coding required! 🎉 When your customers click the billing link on your website, they'll be prompted to enter their email address to access their billing history.

Common questions

  • Can my customer change their company name or tax ID?

    Once a contact has been created with a name and tax ID, the name and tax ID can not be modified. If a customer changes their name (company name) or tax ID, we'd recommend creating a new contact in Quaderno. This way you avoid mixing invoices for "different" customers.

    If the customer has a new tax ID, this should be treated as a new contact in the same way.

  • Can billing details from previous invoices be changed?

    Legally binding invoice info like items sold, prices or tax, can not be changed. The customer can update billing details like their billing address, which will appear on their future invoices. Past invoices are not updated automatically.
