Changing your legal entity
Each Quaderno account is linked to one legal entity. If your registration number or entity structure changes (for example, moving from sole trader to company), you need to create a new account.
Only updating your trade name or correcting a typo? Contact our support team and we will update it for you. You do not need a new account for this.
To switch to a new legal entity, follow these steps:
- Create a new Quaderno account by following the managing multiple accounts guide. Keep your current account as-is until you are ready to switch.
- When you are ready to start invoicing with your new entity, disconnect any integrations from your old account and reconnect them to the new one.
- Cancel or pause your old account from the billing details page in your old account.
Only need to update your business address within the same country? Go to the addresses page in your current account. You do not need a new account for this.
