Setting up products with different tax rates in WooCommerce
If your WooCommerce store sells a variety of products—like physical goods, digital downloads, ebooks, or online courses—you'll often need to apply different tax rates based on the product type. The WooCommerce Quaderno Tax Automation plugin makes it easy to ensure the correct tax rate is calculated for each of your products.
Here's how to configure product-specific tax codes:
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to WooCommerce > Products.
- Search for and select the specific product you wish to edit. Click
Edit
to open its product data settings. - Ensure you have the correct WooCommerce product type (e.g., Simple Product, Virtual, Downloadable) selected for your product.
- Within the product's settings, locate the
Quaderno Tax Code
field and select the tax code that accurately corresponds to your product type.
If you do not select a specific Quaderno tax code for a product, Quaderno will automatically treat it as a standard-rate good for tax calculation purposes.
By following these steps, you can ensure that Quaderno accurately calculates and applies the correct tax rates for all the diverse products in your WooCommerce store.
